I could be reading way too much into it but I was watching “Nowhere Boy”  and I find it quite interesting how in the beginning of the movie, after being informed by Aunt Mimi that his Uncle George is dead, John runs up behind her and immediately starts crying and she pushes him away. Then at the end of the movie, when his mother dies and he’s with Paul, you can clearly see how he fights himself from breaking down in tears for a bit as he grips onto Paul, like he almost expects to be pushed away but Paul doesn’t, and it is when he realizes this that he finally allows himself to break down.

I don’t know if that was intentional or not, but I think it was really sweet. xx
